Affin Bank has introduced its most exclusive credit card to date—the Affin Diventium Visa Infinite—positioned firmly within the private banking space.
Refined Points held off this article for a few months, given that there was zero publicity on the launch of the credit card itself. It's worth noting that the launch of Affin's Diventium Private Banking segment in 2024 yielded little information on the Diventium Visa Infinite itself.
Either way, given that Affin Bank has published a detailed product page on the credit card, we'll publish this article anyways, given that it's been sitting in the drafts for a little too long.
With an exceptionally high RM2 million assets under management (AUM) requirement, this card caters exclusively to ultra-high-net-worth individuals. However, despite its steep eligibility criteria, Affin Bank has introduced some puzzling benefits that warrant a closer look.
Miles Per Ringgit (MPR) – A Disappointing Return
As always, the first point of discussion is the Miles Per Ringgit (MPR) rate, which is a crucial factor when assessing the value of a high-end travel credit card. If a bank is requiring RM2 million in AUM, its MPR rates should justify that commitment.

Unfortunately, the Affin Diventium Visa Infinite falls short, offering a meager 0.12 MPR for local spend and a modest 1 MPR for overseas transactions.
For benchmarking purposes, we’ll compare the Affin Diventium Visa Infinite against similar premium-tier cards:
AmBank Signature Priority Banking (SPB) Metal Visa Infinite
UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card
HSBC Premier Travel World Mastercard
Maybank Diamante Visa Infinite

While the Affin Diventium Visa Infinite aligns with the AmBank SPB Metal Visa Infinite, it significantly lags behind the UOB Visa Infinite Metal Card. As for the Maybank Diamante Visa Infinite, well… given Maybank’s recent devaluation, let’s just say it’s best left out of the conversation entirely.
Lounge Access – A Step Backward with a Major Catch
One of the more baffling decisions Affin Bank has made is imposing a spending requirement for airport lounge access—not just for principal cardholders, but also for supplementary cardholders.
To gain entry, cardholders must spend at least RM3,000 in the most recent statement month or a RM100,000 cumulative spend in the entire year.
What's even more catastrophic is that cardholders must meet this spending requirement BEFORE attempting to access the lounge or you'll be outright rejected access.
Clause from Affin Diventium T&C:
Complimentary access to Plaza Premium Lounge will be denied in the event that Cardmember does not meet the minimum retail spend requirement...
This seems like an overwhelmingly restrictive condition, especially for a RM 2 Million AUM credit card. Again, it's worthwhile being reminded again that none of the Affin Diventium Visa Infinite's competitor cards require spend conditions to attain lounge access.

That said, Affin Bank has made minimal improvements to distinguish its highest guests of honor from some of the top lounges globally.
Cardholders gain access to the already-crowded Plaza Premium Lounge at KLIA Terminal 1, with no access to the Plaza Premium First, nor any specialized lounge access partnerships with Priority Pass, DragonPass or LoungeKey.
A Unique Perk – Airport Fast Track & Overseas Limousine Service
Now, let’s talk about the standout feature—something we rarely see in Malaysia’s credit card market.
The Affin Diventium Visa Infinite offers complimentary airport fast track and overseas airport limousine services outside Malaysia.
Of course, there’s a catch—you need to spend a minimum of RM10,000 within the statement cycle to qualify. While that’s a high threshold, it’s worth noting that these perks are relatively uncommon, even among Malaysia’s top-tier credit cards.

The only other credit card that offers complimentary overseas airport limousine services is the Standard Chartered Priority Banking Visa Infinite. However, that benefit is tied to Priority Private Banking membership (RM3 million AUM) rather than the credit card itself.

As for complimentary airport fast track, this appears to be a first-of-its-kind benefit in Malaysia. While the AmBank SPB Metal Visa Infinite does offer paid airport fast track, Affin’s offering is complimentary (albeit subject to minimum spend)—a significant distinction.
Given that locations like London Heathrow (LHR) and Hong Kong International Airport are included, this is definitely a decent benefit to have. Of course, the addition of airports regionally such as Bangkok Suvarnabhumi (BKK) and Ho Chi Minh City's Tan Son Nhat International Airport could be a game-changer, given the notoriously long immigration queues at these hubs.
Final Thoughts
The Affin Diventium Visa Infinite is an uneventful yet welcome addition to Malaysia’s premium credit card landscape. While its MPR rates are disappointing and the lounge access policy is restrictive, the card redeems itself with unique perks like airport fast track and complimentary overseas airport limousine services—features that are virtually unheard of in the Malaysian market, and will likely cater to Affin Bank's niche market.
However, for a card that demands RM2 million in AUM, the lack of competitive miles earn rates and the spending requirement for lounge access make it a hard sell compared to its direct competitors.
If Affin Bank is targeting the general ultra-affluent segment (of which I'm pretty sure it isn't), it needs to offer benefits that truly justify that level of financial commitment.
