British Airways will officially resume its nonstop service to Kuala Lumpur on 1 April 2025. This comes after a delay from the originally planned relaunch date of 1 November 2024.

Refined Points has derived the average ticket prices for each cabin class over several months to account for seasonal factors:

The route will be operated using the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner, configured with four cabin classes: 8 seats in First, 42 in Club World (Business Class), 39 in World Traveller Plus (Premium Economy), and 127 in World Traveller (Economy).
The Controversial Business Class Cabin
British Airways' Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner features a business class cabin with a 2-3-2 seating arrangement, often referred to as the "yin-yang" layout.

This design has been subject to criticism due to its density and lack of direct aisle access for all passengers. Notably, window and middle seat occupants must navigate over neighboring passengers to reach the aisle, which can be inconvenient during long-haul flights.
Additionally, the seats are considered narrower compared to competitors, and the absence of individual air vents can contribute to discomfort for some travelers.
Final Thoughts
If you’re really looking to get the most value out of your travel spend, you’re better off flying with one of the Middle Eastern carriers like Emirates or Qatar Airways—or even Singapore Airlines.
These airlines consistently offer top-tier service, newer aircraft, and a far more polished overall experience. It’s the kind of comfort and attention to detail that makes long-haul flights feel a little less like a chore and a lot more like a treat.
